What's the deal with this interior motion sensor?

Noticed the interior motion sensors in my aviator doing their thing a little too well lately, I locked the car, walked away, and a minute later the alarm went off and apparently turns out a jacket hanging in the back seat was enough to trigger it.
Is there a way to temporarily disable the interior sensors without turning off the whole security system, or at least dial back the sensitivity?, like I love the feature in theory, but it's getting a bit trigger happy and its kinda annoying me, I get irritated easily sometimes

Best bet is to check the settings and disable the "Interior Motion Sensor" setting. I think you can find it under alarm preferences or something like that. Good luck. Hope you're irritation settles soon. Worst feeling, I must say. LOL.

Some people use the valet mode or a similar setting that temporarily disables interior sensors without killing the entire alarm. Unfortunately thing is, scaling down sensitivity isn't typically an option, but removing or repositioning items can help, like jackets
