Anyone get the '23 Aviator Sync 3 map update via online download? What USB format worked, bcs Mine isn't working.

Lincoln's a joke! Won't let me redownload (tried FAT32). And wants around $40 for their USB.

Won't say the format, but heard it's exFAT, maybe needs a special name too. So much for "free"!

Yeah, ran into the same nonsense on my '23 aviator and for the record lincoln's system is picky as hell. I used a 64GB USB 3.0 stick, formatted it to exFAT, and named it SYNC3USB (not sure if the name actually matters, but I saw that floating around). Downloaded the update tool from their site, let it prep the USB, and it finally worked after two failed tries.
So I totally agree and saying it's free, then gatekeeping it behind a buggy downloader and trying to charge $40 for a USB is wild, I'd suggest you keep trying with exFAT and make sure you use a decent quality stick cos some brands just don't play nice.

@Debbie.Mark you know, sometimes, ironically, those massive 128GB or 256GB sticks can be too much for the Sync system.
If your 64GB isn't working, try a smaller 32GB USB 2.0 stick if you have one lying around. Occasionally, older system firmware prefers the older spec

Yep, I'm with you, exFAT and a good USB 3.0 drive are what you want. The Lincoln update thing can be picky, so just use their program and don't go for the super cheap drives.
