Lately I've been running into a strange issue, some of the controls like the steering wheel buttons, climate panel, or even the audio controls randomly stop responding for a few seconds, then come back like nothing happened and same goes for some indicator lights, they'll flicker or not show at all briefly especially at startup or right after unlocking. The thing now is that It doesn't happen every time I drive, which makes it even more frustrating to pin down. No warning messages or obvious system faults, just enough weirdness to make you question if it's electrical, software related, or both.
So I'm just thinking, could it be a BCM issue, loose ground, or just one of those reflash at the dealership type fixes?

I think it's an electrical tantrum hahaha. I experienced that when I first got my Aviator and I had to bring it to the dealer. Honestly, I worry a lot when it's about the wiring because you'll never know how bad it is unless you have it checked.

It sounds like you might be dealing with a typical BCM or ground problem. Those random dropouts and flickering lights when you start up suggest a bad ground, a loose connection, or maybe the BCM itself is acting weird. I'd recommend disconnecting the battery to reset it, then checking the main grounds and connections. If that doesn't do the trick, you might want to have a pro check for any hidden BCM codes.

Have you tried resetting it or getting it scanned?
