Brake locking prob

Brakes on my 2020 Aviator have been acting up, sometimes locking up and other times not working at all. I've seen similar issues reported on the 2021 and 2022 models, especially with the electronic parking brake. Wondering if removing the ABS would help or if there's a better fix. Anyone else dealing with this?

Yikes, that sounds incredibly scary and sounds like it's not normal, too. i'd be be concerned too.

i don't think removing ABS is a safe and good idea since it's designed to prevent your wheels from locking up during hard braking. have you had it looked at by a Lincoln dealership or a mechanic yet? they'd be able to check the issues for you

You're right about the ABS. I was just at my wit's end and throwing out ideas but I agree that messing with the brakes is playing with fire. My next stop's the dealership to get this sorted out properly.

@Kev_321 bro, I'm concerned about this bcs it's a huge safety issue. If your brakes are locking up or not working at all, you should not be driving that vehicle. Get it towed to a shop ASAP

yep, do not drive that car. This is a severe safety issue, and towing it is the only safe option. Removing the ABS is definitely not the solution and would make the situation far more dangerous

Hey everyone! Posting a quick update to confirm I'm still alive lol thank God.

So I had the Aviator towed straight to the dealer back in June. They found a bad ABS control module and replaced it under warranty. Thanks again for looking out and reinforcing the need for caution.
