Brake feels hard at startup

I have a 2018 Lincoln Aviator with regular wheels. When I start the car, the brakes feel really hard for a few seconds. I have to press down hard just to get moving. Then it gets better, but that first stop is super strong, like it jerks the car.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a better way to fix it than pressing the brake a few times before driving?

Yeah, that's usually the brake booster not holding vacuum after the car sits. Pretty common, try pressing the pedal a couple times before starting it, but I think you should just replace the check valve or booster at this point
